Howard & Judy Rosen

Howard and Judy grew up about 60 miles apart.  Even though their lives crossed in many ways, they didn’t meet until 1998 when Howard placed his first (and last) online ad.  Judy’s response was one of over 1,000 Howard received, but as soon as Howard read Judy’s reply he knew he had met his match.

Both Howard and Judy grew up in families who valued their Jewish roots and were active in their respective congregations. Both of their fathers were presidents of their synagogues and lead by example, not merely words.  Their love of travel has been highlighted by many tours that emphasize Jewish history and culture.  Their home is filled with reminders of their numerous trips and especially their Jewish roots.

Howard has worn many hats at Temple Solel.  In fact, he calls himself the utility infielder for the Temple.  He has been VP of Development, served on the Budget and Personnel Committees, the Interim Rabbi Search Committee and as Co-Chair of the Settled Rabbi Search Committee.  Howard is currently serving his second stint on the Board of Trustees and is the Interim Treasurer.  Together Judy & Howard have helped fund several trips for our Religious School students, including trips to Selma, Alabama, New York City and Los Angeles.
